ESERA2015

Registrations

  • When do I need to register?

If you are a presenter, you MUST register by 14 June 2015 in order for your presentation (oral, poster or symposium) to be included in the conference programme. Please register through Registration. The Early Bird rate was effective until midnight 22 May 2015 (incl.). Late registration fees apply after 22 May 2015. Participants without a presentation can register even after 14 June.

  • I am having problems with registration, please help!

We apologize for any problems you may be experiencing while making your registrations.

If you get the following message (or similar): "Refused by Issuer", the problem is not with the ESERA system, but your credit card company. "Refused by issuer" may refer to some restrictions on the card (eCommerce not supported, daily spending limit exceeded, etc.), or that there is not enough credit on the card. In those cases you should contact the card-issuer (phone-number on the back of the credit card, not your local branch) and then try registering again. You may also select the bank transfer option.

If you get a message saying "Oops, something went wrong. This is embarrassing but we promise we will fix it soon":

Try registering again. Often it helps to try using a different browser. If the system tells you now that you have already registered but it has not sent you a confirmation email, it likely means that your registration information was received by our database but it is taking longer for our system to receive authorization of the payment. In those cases we will send you a confirmation email once the payment authorization shows.

If problems persist, please take a screen shot if possible and send us an email to info-esera2015(at)helsinki.fi.

We are truly sorry for any problems you may be having and we will do our best to solve them as quickly as we can. We thank you for your patience and please understand that we may not be able to reply to your email immediately. All emails will be attended to as soon as possible.

  • Do all co-authors need to be registered for the ESERA Conference?

Only presenting authors and participants need to be active ESERA members and be registered for the ESERA 2015 Conference. In order for the abstract to be included in the Conference Programme and Book of Abstracts, the presenters MUST register by 14 June. Therefore co-authors, with the exception of the presenting author, do not need to pay for the ESERA membership and Conference registration fees unless they wish to attend the Conference.

  • I cannot remember my ESERA membership login details; how do I retrieve them?

If you cannot remember your ESERA Username or Password, you can obtain it from the Login Reminder page on the ESERA website.

  • How can I register an accompanying person?

You can register an accompanying person to some ESERA2015 events or purchase certain items for him/her. The prices, registration form and instructions for payment can be accessed through this link.

  • Can I pay by credit card for my ESERA Membership and Conference Registration fees?

Credit card payments are available on the ESERA2015 Conference website.  If you are planning on attending the conference, you can register for the conference and pay for both conference registration and membership by credit card.

  • I am a PhD student wishing to attend the ESERA 2015 conference; how can I register for the conference at the discounted student registration fee?

To register for the conference at the discounted Student Registration fee, you need to have an active ESERA student membership for 2015. If you do not already have one and are eligible for student membership, then you will need to complete the membership form on the ESERA website first, and select the "Current PhD student? = Yes" option. For your Student Membership to be approved, you will need to send ORIGINAL stamped documentation from your University certifying that you are a registered student to the address shown on the following page: http://www.esera2015.org/registration/registration-fees/.  On receiving the documentation, the ESERA Treasurer will approve your Student membership and you will be able to proceed with your conference registration at the Student fee by completing the registration on the ESERA2015 website.
